Wedding Films
When Sorlie Arts was first born in early 2009, we knew from day one that capturing the moments of a wedding would be the most rewarding work we would probably ever do. There is something about a wedding that can’t be found anywhere else. The hundred or so guests get a taste of it, the parents have been waiting years for it, and of course, the bride and groom get to live it.
The one down-side to having everything go perfectly on your special day is that within a few days, you’ve already forgotten the words your father said to you in his speech, or the message the pastor or officiant gave to you during the ceremony. You probably remember the kiss, but what about how tender your first dance was? And not to mention, how amazing you looked in that dress (and how great you wore that suit – I know you’re reading, guys!).
Our primary goal is to capture those moments, and the ones you may have missed. We create a story based on the events of the day. We get up early with you, we end up coming just shy of joining your wedding party. Sorlie Arts is a husband and wife team who weren’t married all that long ago. This familiarity with how things unravel helps us to be there for you to capture everything
The end result is a fully produced wedding documentary with crisp, clean audio recorded with professional microphones and stunning shots of you, your family and friends and what happened on your day. You can enjoy sitting down on your anniversaries, or any other time you want to relive the romance and remind yourselves how wonderful that day was.
We are doing our part to continually educate ourselves to provide you with an amazing wedding video. We are part of an exclusive network of wedding filmmakers from around the globe called WedFact. This group shares ideas and concepts back and forth and helps us to provide you with the best possible wedding video. James & Sarah – Mario Kart & A New Years Cruise – Love Story Engagement Film
James & Sarah are perfect for each other. They balance each other perfectly and you can really see the love they have for each other in this Love Story Engagement film.
We are excited to be filming their wedding in Barrie on July 17, 2010! This will be the best wedding in terms of fuel economy because the church is literally about 100 meters from our house!
Thank you James & Sarah for letting us tell a bit about your story. We can’t wait to be a part of your wedding day!
Adam & Magda – Same Day Edit – A Proper Polish Party
Magda & Adam are two Doctors working in Boston, MA. They both come from Polish descent and decided to get married in Barrie, where Magda’s parents live. We realized very quickly that the Polish community is a very closely knit family.
If you haven’t heard of a Wedding Same Day Edit before, basically, we film and edit a short piece the day of your wedding and have it ready to air at your reception! The experience is incredible – especially when it’s kept a secret!
We had a tonne of fun with this Same Day Edit. Magda & Adam didn’t know when they planned their wedding that pretty much all of Toronto’s major routes would be shut down for the G20 Summit. There were times when the 427 was shut down completely – or when you couldn’t get on to the 400 because a motorcade was coming through.
Once we arrived back at the reception hall though, the party really got started! Their wedding was a unique experience for us in that it was just about 100% Polish. The entire ceremony and speeches were all in Polish. We, unfortunately don’t speak Polish (yet! we’re going to learn though, that’s for sure!)
Trying to figure out when first dances or cake cutting or even when the couple is named Man and Wife is fairly straight forward in English – but man did we have an adventure basically learning a new language tonight!
I would like to thank Magda & Adam for having us along for their wedding day. It was a blast and one that we will remember for sure!
